A long time ago, when the UnModerated forum on OverClocked Remix was having a few people start up a sprite-based comic, I decided to give it a whirl as well. Using the three GBA Sonic games for the sprites and backgrounds, I used their small size as a kind of hook, and called my comic "Mini Sonic." Sure, it was kind of hard to read for some, but damn it, I was determined to stick with the hook. The comic started out very simple, with little in the way of editing work being done to anything. But soon I was editing the sprites for make new poses and expressions, some of the backgrounds, and even making my own backgrounds from scratch, so that I could get what I wanted. The ideas, like the sprites, started simple, but they quickly grew into giving each character their own steady personality to play with by the end of the second season. The jokes/puns/whatever got bigger was well, and the number of panels per comic shot up along with them. It ran for a few years, with each "Season" coming out in the Fall and early Winter. But by the time the eighth season was done being made, the number of people reading the comics was painfully small (the number of thread views was disheartening *lol*), and the last thread was mostly made up of just me posting the new comics. So, with virtually no audience anymore, there wasn't much reason to keep the comic going. That's when I decided to kill it off. I did have half of season 9 written though, and one of them was even created. Maybe some day I'll sit down and create the comics I'd finished writing, just so everything I'd worked on for it is out there. Who knows.
